Sparrenburg Bielefeld

The Sparrenburg is Bielefelds most important landmark. Build on top of a mountain and with high walls you can see it from far away. While many walls are so old that you are prohibited from going near them, others were reinforced and are robust enough for our puprose. While I would not recommend climbing the castles walls, the low walls inside are quite nice. There is also a music and art school right below the walls with some interesting grip possibilities.

There are also guided tours through its catacombs and tunnel system, which I would recommend to those who are interested in history.

By night it is lit up by lights, which makes it perfect for filming videos and epic shots
